***********************************************************************************

We are aware of an issue affecting VidyoDesktop users, where when clicking a room link VidyoDesktop does not automatically join into the conference. This issue occurs when using the following browsers:
• Microsoft Edge 98
• Google Chrome 98

These browsers have implemented stricter restrictions on how browsers communicate with resources outside of the current loaded URL and as a result, the VidyoPortal join page can no longer send messages to the VidyoDesktop application.
We want to assure our VidyoDesktop customers that we are actively working on a resolution. We will provide you with an update as soon as we can.

Products Affected

  • VidyoDesktop with all VidyoPortal versions.

Resolution

For VidyoDesktop, there is no resolution at the moment, but Enghouse Vidyo is working on potential workarounds to this issue.
NOTE: Registered users can still search for rooms and contacts to join conferences.

What Actions Can I Take Now?

Enghouse Vidyo strongly recommends moving to VidyoConnect Desktop as VidyoConnect is not affected by this issue.
