This article includes information about how to troubleshoot your VidyoControl™ app, VidyoConnect™ Room, or VidyoRoom™.

Using Your Browser to Connect to the VidyoControl App

Refer to this section for information about how to use your browser to connect to the VidyoControl app so that you can use the app with your VidyoConnect Room.

This section uses the Firefox browser as an example. If you are using a different browser or operating system, you can still follow the directions below; however, some of the steps may vary slightly.

To connect to the VidyoControl App using a browser:

  1. Open your browser and enter https://[room system IP]/remote (for example: https://192.168.1.10/remote).
    The “Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead" page may display in your browser.

  2. Click the Advanced button.
    The “Websites prove their identity...” pop-up appears.
  3. Click the Accept the Risk and Continue button.
    The "Please enter pairing code..." page displays.

  4. Enter the pairing code for the room system you want to pair with, and then click Submit.
    The VidyoConnect "Please check network connection..." page displays.

  5. Press F12 on your keyboard.
    The Developer Console window appears at the bottom of the page.

  6. Click the Network tab on the Developer Console window.
    The VidyoConnect Room connection errors display in the Developer Console window. 
  7. Double-click on any of the errors marked with a red icon. 
    The "
    Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead" page opens in a new browser tab.

  8. Click the Advanced button.
    The "Websites prove their identity..." pop-up appears.

  9. Click the Accept the Risk and Continue button.
    A new "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead" browser tab opens; however, a new tab with the VidyoControl App connected also opens.

  10. Close the "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead" browser tab.
    Once you close this tab, you can see the page connected to the VidyoControl app.

  11. Close the Developer Console window at the bottom of the page.
    You are now ready to use the VidyoControl app with your VidyoConnect Room.
