End of Standard Support Announcement: Vidyo.io

Enghouse Vidyo announces the End of Standard Support date of July 31, 2022 for Vidyo.io.

As part of our commitment to providing our customers with the most advanced technologies, Enghouse Vidyo is replacing Vidyo.io with VidyoPlatform, a solid foundation of industry-leading technology that powers enterprise collaboration, customer and patient engagement, and embedded video.

How do I migrate from Vidyo.io to VidyoPlatform?

To ensure a smooth transition from Vidyo.io to VidyoPlatform, Enghouse has developed this migration process for our customers.

What are the key dates?

Enghouse Vidyo will provide support for this offering as follows:

  • Last Time Buy - May 30, 2022. Remaining minutes on your Vidyo.io account will be transferred to your new VidyoPlatform tenant at the time of transition.
  • End of Standard Support - July 31, 2022

End of Standard Support Announcement: VidyoDesktop™ (Windows® and Mac®) and VidyoMobile™ (Android™ and iOS)

Enghouse Vidyo announces the End of Standard Support for VidyoDesktop and VidyoMobile and will provide support for these offerings as follows: 

  • VidyoDesktop - July 31, 2022 (End of Standard Service and Support)
  • VidyoMobile - July 31, 2022 (End of Standard Service and Support)

How will this impact me?

VidyoDesktop 

Customers who currently use VidyoDesktop on the cloud can transition to the VidyoConnect desktop app on July 31, 2022, at no cost. For customers who are eager to transition to VidyoConnect before July, Enghouse Vidyo is happy to help you migrate at any time. Please email support@vidyocloud.com.

VidyoMobile 

As an alternative to the VidyoMobile app, we recommend you download the VidyoConnect mobile app for free from either the Google Play Store for Android devices or the App Store for iOS devices.

End of Standard Support Announcement: VidyoWorks 3.x APIs

Enghouse Vidyo announces the End of Standard Support for the following offerings:

  • VidyoWorks 3.x APIs (also known as VidyoClient 3.x APIs)
  • Vidyo Transcoded WebRTC 3.x
  • VidyoWorks NPAPI Plugin

Enghouse Vidyo will provide support for these offerings as follows:

  • End of Standard Service and Support - July 31, 2022
  • Extended Support Plan Available - August 1, 2022

NOTE: To negotiate a special support agreement extension beyond the End of Standard Service and Support date of July 31, 2022, please contact the Vidyo Support Team via email or phone as listed in the Contact Us article.
 

What other offerings are available?

As an alternative, Enghouse Vidyo is offering the VidyoClient APIs (starting with version 21.1.0). The VidyoClient APIs library is dramatically improved for ease of use, performance, and flexibility. Below is a list of just a few of these major advantages and benefits:

Enghouse Vidyo announces the End of Life and the Last Time Buy for the following products:

  • RF Remote Control (Part Number DEV-ACC-RM-RF-REMOTE)
  • HD-2 Bundle with RF Remote Control (Part Number PKG-RM-HD2-GROUP-EXP-RF)

Enghouse Vidyo will provide support for these products as follows:

  • End of Sale (Last Time Buy) - June 30, 2020
  • End of Service and Support - June 30, 2021

What Alternatives Are Available?

For customers who need to reliably perform pre-call and in-call tasks with their VidyoRoom systems, Enghouse Vidyo offers our hand-held Infrared (IR) Remote Control as a replacement for the RF remote control.

Alternatively, you can control your VidyoRoom system using VidyoRemote™ 3 for iOS and Android™. Before downloading the VidyoRemote 3 app, ensure that you have an: 

  • Apple iPad® running iOS 7.1 or later.
  • Android tablet running Android version 5.1.1 or later.

End of Sale and End of Support Announcement: VidyoRoom™ Peripherals and Accessories - Product Bulletin No. 1280

 

 

End of Sale (EOS) and End of Support:
VidyoRoom™ Hardware Peripherals and Accessories

Many peripherals and accessories for the VidyoRoom product line have reached their End of Sale and End of Support dates as of March 31, 2020. Consequently, Enghouse Vidyo no longer includes these items in our inventory.

To learn more about the specific EOS timelines for these peripherals and accessories, refer to the "Peripherals" section of the End of Life (EOL) and End of Sale (EOS) Notifications for Vidyo Offerings article.  

What Alternatives Are Available?

  • If you have an active support agreement and are covered under an RMA, you may qualify to receive a replacement peripheral or accessory of equal or better functionality. 
  • For a list of the peripherals and accessories that are currently supported, refer to the Recommended and Supported Peripherals for VidyoRoom Systems article. Devices listed in this article are recommended or supported for use with the VidyoRoom product line and with VidyoPortal™ version 2.2.2 or later (unless otherwise noted).
