Vidyo is Happy to Announce VidyoWeb™ Version 1.3.26 and VidyoWeb™ Version 3.2.26 for WebRTC

This release includes VidyoWeb version 1.3.26 as well as VidyoWeb version 3.2.26 which provides support for WebRTC sessions. Use version 3.2.26 only if you intend to deploy the Vidyo Server for WebRTC.

What's New?

 

Safari® 12 Error Message for VidyoWeb Version 1.3.26 and Version 3.2.26

  • Apple® has removed all NPAPI support for Safari 12. Therefore, if you try to use VidyoWeb on Safari 12, you will now see a message indicating that your browser is not supported and that you should use Internet Explorer®, Safari 11.x or lower, or Chrome™ instead.

VidyoWeb Security Enhancements

  • To improve security, VidyoWeb now uses the latest OpenSSL version 1.0.2p, the latest libcurl version 7.61.1, and the latest VidyoClient libraries.
  • We’ve made updates to VidyoWeb to prevent malicious attackers from exploiting a clickjacking vulnerability.

This release includes VidyoWeb version 1.3.25 as well as VidyoWeb version 3.2.25 which provides support for WebRTC sessions. Use version 3.2.25 only if you intend to deploy the Vidyo Server for WebRTC.

What's New?

 

VidyoWeb Version 1.3.25: Resolved Issues

  • Calling the InEventPrecallTestCamera API now properly turns on the camera, and the user is now also able to see their self-view being rendered when not in a call.
  • When the camera is muted, the loopback video now correctly shows a black tile instead of displaying the last frame transmitted.
  • The RequestGetParticipantStatisticsAt API now returns proper values for videoKBitsPerSecRecv instead of returning zero.
  • Prior to this release, when users accessed VidyoWeb via the Chrome non-NPAPI plugin from their Windows 10 device and shared content, the smaller video tiles would overlap the bigger video tile. In this release, this video distortion no longer occurs.

VidyoWeb Version 3.2.25: Updated Plugins

  • Version 3.2.25 contains updated VidyoWeb plugins based on the VidyoWeb version 1.3.25 release.
