Important Notice: VidyoRoom Version Compatibility Issues for Customers Using VidyoRoom HD-3 Pros and HD-230 (Revisions A and B) with a Dual Port Dextera Card

Description of Issue

Your system may not work correctly if you use VidyoRoom™ HD-3 Pro or VidyoRoom HD-230 (Revisions A and B) with a dual port Dextera card and you upgrade to VidyoRoom version 19.3.0. For example, your system may experience some or all of the following issues:

  • A frozen video or black screen may appear if the Self-View is turned on.
  • Remote participants may not see video from the VidyoRoom display.
  • You may be unable to join calls.

To avoid these issues, only upgrade these VidyoRoom systems using a dual port Dextera card to version 19.2.1 and do not upgrade these systems to VidyoRoom version 19.3.0. (Version 19.3.0 is yet to release; more information to follow)

Products Impacted 

VidyoRoom systems that have dual-port Dextera cards are impacted and include the following:

  • HD-230 Revision A
  • HD-230 Revision B
  • HD-3 Pro (China only)

Recommended Solutions

  • VidyoRoom systems that have dual-port Dextera cards can only upgrade to VidyoRoom version 19.2.1. These VidyoRoom systems iinclude: HD-230 Revision A, HD-230 Revision B, and HD-3 Pro.

Important Additional Information

  • If you use any of the above mentioned VidyoRoom models with a dual port Dextera card, you are required to upgrade ALL your VidyoRoom systems to version 19.2.1. More specifically: 
    • If some or all of your VidyoRoom systems have Dextera cards, you are required to upgrade  them to 19.2.1.
    • If none of your VidyoRoom systems have Dextera cards, you can upgrade your VidyoRoom systems to version 19.3.0 (when this version becomes available).
      • By upgrading to version 19.2.1:
        • You are enabling any of your VidyoRoom systems that don’t have Dextera cards to be eligible to upgrade to version 19.3.0 and later.
        • Your HD-230 and HD-3 Pro models can continue to successfully join video calls with all other Vidyo endpoints.
        • Your HD-230 and HD-3 Pro models will be eligible to upgrade to any future 19.2.x maintenance releases.
