VidyoConnect Room: About Version 22.3.0—Jun 2022

What's new in this release

  • Support for camera presets on VISCA cameras
    • Camera presets allow you to store specific camera settings on VISCA cameras, such as the camera’s position and PTZ settings, so that you can quickly move the camera to those stored positions.
      • For example, you may want the VISCA camera on a VidyoConnect Room system in a patient's room to point at the bed, the monitor, and the doorway.
    • To configure the presets, use the new Camera Preset panel on the Admin UI Settings tab.

      07_-_Camera_Presets_-_Delete__1_.JPG

    • Note: This feature is available only with VidyoPortal and VidyoRouter version 22.3.1 and later and VidyoConnect for Desktop version 22.3.0 and later.
  • FECC support for Minrray UV510 cameras via UVC
    • Far-End Camera Control (FECC) is now supported on Minrray UV510 series cameras that are connected via a UVC (USB video class) port.

  • Installers no longer available for Windows 7-based hardroom systems
    • If you have a hardroom running Windows 7, Enghouse Vidyo is no longer releasing installers for these. To continue using your system, you must upgrade to Windows 10 IoT.
    • If you have a softroom, Enghouse Vidyo will continue to release installers for these. However, if your softroom is running Windows 7, do not use the installer to directly upgrade from Windows 7; doing so may cause your VidyoRoom application to stop running. Instead, first upgrade your OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and then use the installer to upgrade your VidyoConnect Room system to the latest release.
    • Note: To determine whether your Room system is running Windows 7 or Windows 10, check your image version. Windows 7 images start with 0, such as 0.a.b.c; Windows 10 images start with 3, such as 3.d.e.f.

Resolved issues

No customer-facing issues were resolved in VidyoConnect Room version 22.3.0.

VidyoConnect Room: About Version 22.2.0—Apr 2022

What's new in this release

  • CEC Trigger mode
    • We added the CEC Trigger mode feature to allow admins to control when the Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) trigger is executed.

    • With this feature, admins can configure the CEC to trigger only when there is an incoming call (Conference mode) and not every time the VidyoConnect Room application starts.

    • When CEC Trigger Mode is configured as “Conference”:

      • TV will switch on and change channels only when receiving an incoming call.
      • TV will not turn on or change channels when the application starts after a system update or reboot.
    • For information on how to configure this feature, refer to the  "Configuring the System Using the Admin UI" section in version 22.2.0  of the VidyoConnect Room and VidyoRoom Administrator Guide.
  • Incoming ringtone configurability
    • This feature allows admins to disable the ringtone of incoming calls to VidyoConnect Room systems.
    • Healthcare customers can use this feature to mute the ringtone of incoming calls to patients' rooms so as not to disturb them, especially at night when care providers dial in to check on the patients.
    • To disable ringtone, an admin selects the Disable Ringtone checkbox in VidyoConnect Room Admin UI.   By default, ringtone is enabled.
    • For information on how to configure this feature, refer to the  "Configuring the System Using the Admin UI" section in version 22.2.0  of the VidyoConnect Room and VidyoRoom Administrator Guide.
  • Google Calendar integration update

    • This new feature automatically disconnects a VidyoConnect Room system after a set time following the departure of the last participant from a conference, while the room system remains on the call.
    • With auto-disconnect enabled, when the last participant leaves a conference and ONLY the VidyoConnect Room system is on, the auto-disconnect timer starts to count down and when it reaches the specified time, disconnects the room system from the conference.

You cannot enable "Single participant auto-disconnect" and "Auto join my meeting" at the same time.

        VCR_DevicesScreen.png

    • Video Layout
      • The Video Layout VideoLayoutButton.png button enables you to select how you want to view the video tiles. You can select to view all participants in the same-sized tiles or you can view the loudest speaker in the largest tile.
  • New VidyoConnect Room Features for Healthcare Users
    • Super Sensitive Mode
      • The Super Sensitive Mode SuperSensitiveButton.png button allows you to hear or block background noises (such as beeps and alarms).
      • This feature is useful in cases where you want to hear all the noise coming from a particular location. For example, a nurse at a nurse’s station in a hospital might want to enable this mode in order to hear every sound in a patient’s room.

      • This feature is useful in cases where you want to see in low-light situations, such as when you need to monitor a patient in their room during the night.

    • For more details on how to use these and other features on both the General Collaboration and Healthcare system types, refer to the VidyoConnect Room and VidyoControl Application User Guide.
  • Pairing VidyoConnect Room Systems into Groups
    • The pairing feature enables you to see a greater number of remote video tiles in your conference by pairing multiple room systems into a group.
      • This feature is especially useful in larger conference rooms where you want to increase the number of participants that you can see on multiple displays while you are in a call. The maximum is 16 tiles per display and a total of 192 tiles per conference.
      • You can pair different room systems under the same group. For example, you could pair an HD-3 with four displays and an HD-3C with four displays into a group and see 128 participants on the eight displays.
    • From the Admin UI, you form a group by giving the same group name to all the systems that you want as part of the group.
      • You then select one system as the Primary, which can be controlled by the user.
      • All other systems will be Secondary, meaning that they will be completely controlled by the Primary system and users cannot interact with them directly (such as with the VidyoControl app). Their purpose is simply to join meetings that the Primary system is joining and display the video tiles from remote participants.
      • For more information, refer to the "Configuring Preferences" section of the VidyoConnect Room and VidyoRoom Administrator Guide.
  • Touch Screen Support for VidyoConnect Room
    • In this release, the VidyoConnect Room allows touch-screen support if the room system is connected to a supported display device; therefore, you no longer need to use a handheld remote or mouse/keyboard if you do not wish to do so.
  • Epic API (for VidyoRoom and VidyoConnect Room for Healthcare Users)
    • If you’re an Epic admin, you can now indicate via the Admin UI that you're using the Epic API, and then select either a Production or Test environment. Based on your selection, the linked Client ID will be used in a custom header when a URL is also entered in the Button Press URL field.
    • For more information, refer to the "Configuring Preferences" section of the VidyoConnect Room and VidyoRoom Administrator Guide.

VidyoRoom: About Version 19.3.0

What's New In This Release

This release has major updates for VidyoRoom Software Edition (SE) and minor updates for VidyoRoom hardware endpoints. Note: There are compatibility issues for specific hardware endpoints that should not upgrade to 19.3.0 (HD-3 Pro and HD-230 Revision A or B with dual port Dextera cards). Read below for more details.

VidyoRoom Version 19.3.0 Software Edition (SE) Updates

  • Windows® 10 Support for VidyoRoom SE
    • Support for Microsoft® Windows 10 has been added to version 19.3.0 of VidyoRoom SE.
    • For more details, refer to version 19.3.0 of the VidyoRoom Deployment Guide in the VidyoRoom and VidyoPanorama 600 Administrator Guides and VidyoRoom SE Deployment Guides article.
  • Ability to Select the Application Mode
    • When running Windows 10, you can now use the Admin UI Settings tab to set the application mode to either Kiosk or Appliance:
      • Kiosk mode prevents the VidyoRoom application from modifying the OS and allows users to exit the app from the OnScreen UI. This mode is the default.
      • Appliance mode locks down the system by preventing Windows updates from automatically occurring, disables certain Windows notifications, creates inbound firewall rules for sharing, disables some special keys on the keyboard, hides the Task Bar, and more.
    • For more information about setting the Kiosk and Appliance modes, refer to the Admin UI: Using the Login and Settings Tabs article or to version 19.3.0 of the VidyoRoom Administrator Guide in the VidyoRoom and VidyoPanorama 600 Administrator Guides and VidyoRoom SE Deployment Guides article.
  • UI Changes When Running VidyoRoom SE on Windows 10
    • The OS version now displays instead of the image version on the Admin UI About tab, on the OnScreen UI About page, and in the Log file.
    • The "Update" section of the Admin UI Firmware tab now displays only the current VidyoRoom SE version and the OS version.
    • Some Admin UI functionality is no longer available including the following:
      • Splunk® forwarder options
      • Ability to shut down the system
      • Option to upload a new image file
      • Ability to restore to the factory image
  • Updated Security for the Admin UI
    • The Admin UI now generates a self-signed certificate, thereby enabling it to work more securely with VidyoRoom SE installers.
  • Remote Control APIs for Obtaining Room and Camera Modes
    • The Status.RoomSystem.Properties API obtains the room mode (kiosk or appliance). (VidyoRoom SE Windows 10 only)
    • The Status.CameraMode API obtains the camera IR mode (auto or daylight). (VidyoRoom SE Windows 10 only)
  • Icon Updates for VidyoRoom (VidyoRoom SE and VidyoRoom Endpoints)
    • The Lecture Mode icon color was changed from white to green to align with other the icon color schemes in the app.
    • The VidyoRoom Contents Share icon was changed to match the VidyoConnect endpoints.
    • Since the VidyoRoom system must be connected to a secure Portal by default; there is no need to display the Show Unlock icon which previously displayed as red. Additionally, the Show Lock/Secure icon will no longer display.

VidyoRoom Version 19.3.0 Hardware Endpoint Updates

  • Additional Graphics Card Support for HD-3 Revision B
    • The VidyoRoom HD-3B supports a new P100 NVIDIA graphics card.
  • API for Sorting Tiles By Name
    • The SortTilesByName API sorts participants in alphabetical order within the same display. The syntax for the Sort Tiles By Name request is Request set SortTilesByName <yes or no>.
Note: If you are based in Turkey, enter “tr-TR” after the “yes”.
  • VidyoRoom Version Compatibility Issues for Using HD-3 Pro and HD-230 Revision A or B with a Dual Port Dextera Card
    • Your system may not work correctly if you use VidyoRoom HD-3 Pro (China only) or VidyoRoom HD-230 Revision A or B with a dual port Dextera card and you upgrade to VidyoRoom version 19.3.0. For more information, click here.

Resolved Issues

The following table lists the resolved issues in VidyoRoom versions 19.3.0:

VidyoRoom Version 19.3.0 - Resolved Issues
Key Summary
GS-5452 The microphone and speaker icons now display at all times during a call if the microphone or speaker icons were previously missing.
GS-5378 VidyoRoom systems will display the current tile size and will not force the VidyoRouter to switch to larger resolutions. By doing so, less downlink bandwidth is used.
GS-5340  Enghouse Vidyo corrected an issue so HD-2 systems can successfully update the vimage file to the most recent version.
GS-5093  The VidyoRoom SE application will restart automatically if it crashes due to an unknown reason.
GS-5059 If the VidyoRoom SE is not installed with Administrator privileges, some of the functionalities may not be available, and therefore, a warning pop-up will display in the Admin UI.
GS-5030 Enghouse Vidyo fixed an issue so an Assertion failed error will no longer display when an Horus Scope device is unplugged (while sharing and with an Inogeni device connected).
GS-5003 When using the hot keys (CTR+SHIFT+U) to enable the Supersensitive feature during a call, the Supersensitive icon will be remain on if a Phoenix device is unplugged and then plugged back in.
GS-5000 If the Remote Control API is enabled or disabled from the Admin UI, an application restart is mandatory in order for this change to take effect.
GS-4998 Enghouse Vidyo corrected a crash issue that occurred on a subsequent call after enabling, disabling, and re-enabling a stethoscope on an initial call.
GS-4990 The grey Content Share icon displays correctly when the Horus Scope and Content Share devices are connected/shared. Previously the grey Content Share icon would display incorrectly on the next call after the Content Share device was disconnected from the prior call.
GS-4989 To improve usability, the rectangular Computer icon that displayed on tiles next to the Local Content label was removed. Icons will still display in the top corner to indicate whether the contents are shared in a conference.
GS-4987 When the Inogeni (content share device) and the Horus Scope are connected to a VidyoRoom system, the content share device will no longer get deselected if the Horus Scope preview is in an idle state (Ctrl+Shift+H).
GS-4986 Enghouse Vidyo corrected an issue so that the system will return to the On Screen UI rather than displaying the Preview Local Content screen (Inogeni). Previously when a call was disconnected after the Preview Local Content is enabled (Inogeni) when sharing an Horus Scope with a single VidyoRoom screen, the system incorrectly displayed the Preview Local Content screen.
GS-4985 Enghouse Vidyo fixed an issue where the Horus Scope icon will remain on the screen even if the user plugs in or out and/or selects or deselects the Inogeni Content Share.
GS-4984 Enghouse Vidyo fixed an issue so the Share device will be in focus when in an idle state (e.g., using hot keys Ctrl+Shift+P and Ctrl+H).
GS-4982 The hot keys, Ctrl+Shift+H, in an idle state now work correctly instead of displaying a black screen for single-screen VidyoRoom systems.
GS-4950 When a recorder records a conference, the recorder is no longer counted in the conference participant count.
GS-4949 In the VidyoRoom system, the Lecture Mode icon color was changed from white to green to align with other the icon color schemes. Also, the VidyoRoom Contents Share icon image and color scheme matches exactly with the Contents Share icon that displays in VidyoConnect endpoints and Iron Bow's vCLINiC. The VidyoRoom system must be connected to a secure Portal by default; therefore, there is no need to display the Show Unlock icon which previously displayed as red. Additionally, the Show Lock/Secure icon will no longer display.
GS-4948 When upgrading the VidyoRoom application from the Admin UI or from the portal, the system now restarts only the application and no longer reboots the PC.
GS-4903 The Stethoscope hot key (Ctrl+Shift+S) now works the first time it is used even when the previous call was disconnected while the stethoscope was active.

GS-4176 VidyoRoom systems configured with Google Calendar no longer occasionally display some meetings in duplicate.
GS-4098 VidyoRoom systems no longer get disconnected from calls when the Mute button is pressed on AVer VC520/V8U0B speakerphones.

VidyoRoom: About Version 3.3.22

What's New in This Release

Here's what's new in this release:

  • VidyoRemote™ 3 Enhancements
    • We’ve continued to make the UI for the VidyoRemote 3 for Android™ and VidyoRemote 3 for iOS apps more intuitive and easier to use.
    • Here are some of the enhancements we’ve made in this release:
      • We’ve added the Button_FullScreenShare.png button which enables you to make shared content full-screen on your VidyoRoom system.

        UIwithShareIcon.png
      • To provide you with more details about the functions of certain buttons, we’ve added informative labels. For example, the “Swap Displays” and “Self-View” buttons now have labels, and a new label for the PTZ buttons reminds you that they work with “Adjustable Cameras Only”.
  • Preconfigured Splunk® Settings
    • This release makes it a lot faster and easier to use the Splunk Forwarder feature. If your organization is using a Vidyo-hosted Splunk server, Vidyo now automatically populates the default values for that server.
    • All you have to do to start using the Splunk Forwarder is enter the Index and Hostname. You can also modify the default values if you want to do so.
  • Additional Remote Control APIs
    • The new Camera.x.Select API enables the admin to select the camera, whereas the Share.x.LocalContentPreview enables the selection of the content share device.
  • New Content Share Device for Healthcare
    • If you’re a healthcare provider, you’ll be happy to hear that you can now use the JEDMED Horus HD Digital Scope System – Series 2 as a content share device with your VidyoRoom system.
    • While using Horus Scope as a content share device, you can concurrently use another camera as the video source.
  • Resolved Issues
    • In this release, we’ve resolved a number of issues for enhanced security and reliability.

Resolved Issues

The following table lists the resolved issues in VidyoRoom version 3.3.22 (0811):

VidyoRoom Version 3.3.22 - Resolved Issues
Key Summary
GS-4150 VidyoRoom volume bars now sync with Revolabs UC 500 volume buttons.

GS-4149

When a VidyoRoom SE is rebooted, it no longer resets any connected Phoenix devices to their defaults; therefore, it now retains any advanced Phoenix audio settings that were set by the user.
GS-4088

When an upgrade is performed via the portal, an extra VidyoRoom.log file of 0 bytes is no longer created.

Please note that this fix pertains to upgrades from version 3.3.21-B and later. Therefore, upgrades from 3.3.21-A, 3.3.20, 3.3.19, and earlier will still experience this issue.

GS-4086 When a VidyoRoom system wakes from sleep mode because a dialog box appears indicating that an update is available, the VidyoRoom no longer erroneously begins searching for contacts.
GS-4085 A system reboot now automatically takes place to fix a rare issue where the application got stuck on camera or audio start.
GS-4011 When using an HD-40 Rev A or an HD-100 Rev 4A with a Prolific USB-to-serial adapter, camera control continues to work normally regardless of which USB port the adapter is plugged into.
GS-4000 The Vidyo calendar integration feature no longer mistakenly recognizes WebEx® and GoToMeeting™ links as Vidyo conference links.
GS-3996 A memory leak in Intel's igfxtary.exe process that resulted in black video no longer occurs for HD-40 Rev A VidyoRoom systems.
GS-3994 A recommendation from Sony was implemented in order to deter a loss of camera control issue that occurred with Sony cameras.
GS-3989 If a second camera is directly connected to a VidyoRoom SE or VidyoRoom system, the second camera is now available to be used to as a content share device.
GS-3981 Users can now join conferences when a commit is being performed.
GS-3975 Microsoft Office 365 users who use the Calendar Integration feature no longer receive the "You have exceeded the available subscriptions for your account. Remove unnecessary subscriptions and try your request again" message.
GS-3907

Occasionally, the Phoenix Smart Spider firmware does not upgrade when connected to a VidyoRoom system through a hub if there is a bad Ethernet cable or if the cable is plugged in after the hub is already powered on.

Workaround: When performing a firmware upgrade, ensure that the Ethernet cable connecting the Phoenix Smart Spider is working properly and do not plug the cable in or out after the hub is already powered on.

GS-3815 Calendar integration now works correctly after a time change (such as Daylight Saving Time) occurs.
GS-1448 VidyoRoom systems can now be managed from the VidyoPortal if settings are changed from the on-screen UI or if a new network is selected by disconnecting the network cable.

VidyoRoom: About Version 3.3.20

What's New in This Release

Here's what's new in this release:

  • Introduction of the VidyoRemote 3 for Android
    • The VidyoRemote 3 for Android application delivers pre-conference and in-conference control features for VidyoRoom and VidyoPanorama 600 systems. The VidyoRemote 3 app offers the usability benefits of a touch-screen control interface, with no need to purchase a dedicated controller. In addition, it provides users with an experience similar to the current VidyoRoom and VidyoPanorama 600 OnScreen UI. Here are some of the feature highlights:
      • Join and disconnect from conferences, and answer and reject incoming calls.
      • View the list of available local and remote content streams, and choose which one you want to display.
      • Select and configure which camera, microphone, speakers, and content capture device to use during your Vidyo calls. Pan, tilt, and zoom the camera, and adjust speaker and mic levels during calls.
      • View upcoming meetings and join those meetings with one-click (if calendar integration has been configured).
      • Use meeting control features, such as locking and unlocking the room, muting the audio and video, and disconnecting participants.
      • Record the conference.
      • Enable security features like setting an access codes and PIN-protecting a room.
    • The VidyoRemote 3 is available as a free download from the Google® Play Store.
  • Write Protection Mode enhancements
    • If you enable Write Protection mode and start the reboot process, you won’t be allowed to press the button again. This ensures that the reboot process fully and successfully completes.
    • When Write Protection Mode is enabled, you cannot delete log files nor can you upload new image, installer, or certificate files.
    • If you attempt to download a new installer from the VidyoPortal™ but there is not enough room in the write cache, the VidyoRoom will not download the installer. Instead, it will continue to check the cache every three hours, and it will download the installer when there is enough room.
  • New Admin UI settings
    • Concerned that displaying the VidyoPortal URL, user name, or password on the VidyoRoom OnScreen UI could be security risk? If so, we’ve added a setting to the Admin UI that prevents these from appearing on the OnScreen UI.
    • The new Network Tools tab on the Admin UI provides you with easy access to the “ping” and “traceroute” commands. You simply enter the IP address or host name of the system that you want to ping or trace the path of, and the results appear on the page.
    • From one page on the Admin UI, you can now conveniently set the system time manually or you can automatically sync the time with an NTP server.
    • If you have a Sony® camera and you have set up its presets, you can now indicate that you want the camera position to remain unchanged at the end of each call.
  • Remote Control API updates
    • The new Request Join Extension API enables you to join scheduled rooms using the room extension. This API works with scheduled rooms only and not with personal or public rooms.
    • Remote Control API commands now work with rooms and usernames that have a period in the name as long as the parameter is within single quotes. For example, here’s how you can now query the lock status of a room called qa.test: request status room.’qa.test’.locked.
    • The new RemoteShareAdded, RemoteShareRemoved, and ActiveRemoteShareChanged APIs enable you to tell if a remote participant is sharing content into the conference and if the other participants are currently viewing that content.
  • Support for the Biamp® TesiraFORTÉ CI audio device
    • The Biamp TesiraFORTÉ CI is an external codec conferencing solution that offers twelve line level inputs with AEC and eight line level outputs, thereby delivering superior audio conferencing.

Resolved Issues

The following table lists the resolved issues in VidyoRoom™ and VidyoPanorama™ 600 version 3.3.20 (0698):

VidyoRoom and VidyoPanorama Version 3.3.20 - Resolved Issues
Key Summary
GS-3707 and
VRMT-719
If a user connects and disconnects to a conference two or three times using the VidyoRemote 3, the VidyoRemote now continues to successfully communicate with the VidyoRoom and the search bar no longer remains in a busy state.

GS-3711 and
GS-3703

To prevent VidyoRoom systems from becoming unresponsive when trying to write an emergency commit, the write cache has been increased, the log file size has been reduced, and an emergency commit is triggered when less than 20% of the cache is free.
GS-3496 You can now determine if a remote participant is sharing content into the conference and if the other participants are currently viewing that content by using the new RemoteShareAdded, RemoteShareRemoved, and ActiveRemoteShareChanged APIs.
GS-3254 The issue that occasionally caused some VidyoRoom accounts to get locked out has been resolved.
GS-3242 VidyoRoom systems can now read the Phoenix Quattro3 firmware version if the Quattro3 is connected to the VidyoRoom system via a Phoenix power hub.
GS-3040 and
GS-3018
VidyoRoom systems no longer repeatedly attempt to download installers from the VidyoPortal.
GS-2987 After the first login, VidyoRoom systems no longer use the username and password as credentials, but instead use the authentication token that is retrieved from the VidyoPortal.
GS-2875 The Swap Screen button now swaps screens when the VidyoRoom system uses two screens, and does not swap if there is one screen or more than two screens.
GS-2836 1080I resolution negotiation for INOGENI devices (when used as a camera source) has been implemented for Gen 3 VidyoRoom models such as the HD-2, HD-3, and HD-230.
GS-2608 Remote Control API commands now work with rooms and usernames that have a dot in the name as long as the parameter is within single quotes.

VidyoRoom: About Version 3.3.19

What's New in This Release

Here's what's new in this release:

  • Write Protection Mode feature
    • We’ve implemented a new Write Protection mode feature that adds full File Based Write Filtering. This feature is recommended for deployments where the probability of ungraceful shutdowns is high and where, up until this point, the systems were unable to recover.
    • Admins can easily enable Write Protection mode from the Admin UI.
  • Enable and disable Super Sensitive mode for Phoenix audio devices
    • If you want the audio to be processed through your Phoenix audio device, you can now disable Phoenix Super Sensitive mode via the Admin UI. If, on the other hand, you want to hear the audio in its native state, you can enable this mode.
    • This feature is useful in cases where you want to hear all the noise coming from a certain location. For example, a nurse at a nurse’s station in a hospital might want to enable this mode in order to hear every sound in a patient’s room.
  • View the firmware version of connected devices
    • For your convenience, in addition to displaying the firmware version of INOGENI devices, the Admin UI and the VidyoRoom On Screen UI now display the firmware version of some Sony® cameras, such as the EVI-H100V and SRG-120DH, as well as some Phoenix devices, such as the Quattro3 and Spider.

  • Track the temperature of your VidyoRoom systems
    • VidyoRooms now monitor their CPU temperature. If the temperature gets to a high or critical level, the temperature reading appears on the Admin UI page that you are currently viewing so that you can promptly address the issue.
    • The temperature is also tracked in a log file. This log file is accessible via the Admin UI, and if you’ve enabled the Splunk® forwarder feature, it will also be forwarded to your Splunk server.

  • Receive notification that the CMOS battery needs to be replaced
    • If the CMOS battery fails, the system date reverts back a few years. When you attempt to manually correct the date via the Admin UI, the CMOS Battery Warning notification appears to remind you to check if the battery needs to be replaced.

  • Debug more easily with Recovery Console logs
    • To make debugging easier, you can now access the Recovery Console logs.
    • These logs are accessible via the Admin UI, and if you’ve enabled the Splunk forwarder feature, they will also be forwarded to your Splunk server.
  • Resolved issue
    • In previous releases, an issue caused VidyoRoom HD-100 Rev 4A and HD-40 Rev A systems to go offline after being online for 50 consecutive days. The systems were then unable to successfully reboot. A fix was added to this release, thereby resolving this issue.

Resolved Issues

The following table lists the resolved issues in VidyoRoom™ and VidyoPanorama™ 600 version 3.3.19 (0676):

VidyoRoom and VidyoPanorama Version 3.3.19 - Resolved Issues
Key Summary
GS-3547,
GS-3161
VidyoRoom systems no longer display green video for camera restarts that are due to a false positive.
GS-3530 INOGENI cameras will be selected automatically (if available) after a system reboot.
GS-3527 If a VidyoRoom system is set for an automatic maintenance reboot, it will skip the reboot if another maintenance reboot occurred within the last 10 minutes.
GS-3468 If a VidyoRoom system image file fails due to am ungracefully shutdown or network outage, the new image will now be able to successfully install upon restart.
GS-3451 VidyoRoom systems no longer experience inconsistent audio volume behavior with the speakers when volume changes are applied while the system is not in a call.
GS-3426 New Kingston firmware added to version 3.3.19 prevents VidyoRoom systems from displaying an erroneous message stating that the operating system detected an error on the hard drive.
GS-3290 To improve performance, VidyoRooms now check the call state and block Remote API requests to the VidyoPortal that are not applicable when the VidyoRoom is not in a call.
GS-3108,
GSI-86
In previous releases, an issue caused VidyoRoom HD-100 Rev 4A and HD-40 Rev A systems to go offline after being online for 50 consecutive days. The systems were then unable to successfully reboot. A fix was added to this release, thereby resolving this issue.
GS-3100,
GS-2804
When leaving a conference, if the VidyoRoom system has not completely left within two minutes, the system will forcefully restart the app and will be available to make calls within 30 seconds.
GS-3058 If an INOGENI device was selected as the camera source, it may be deselected after the VidyoRoom HD-40 Rev A is upgraded or rebooted.
GS-2801,
GS-2799,
GS-2700,
GS-2699,
GS-2697,
GS-2691,

GS-2580
Issues with ungraceful shutdowns, upgrading, booting, and re-imaging VidyoRoom systems have been resolved with the implementation of the Write Protection mode feature, the new Recovery Console, and the CMOS battery warning notification in version 3.3.19.
GS-2592 When a VidyoRoom system experiences the error that caused it to display an unknown software exception error message, the message no longer displays; instead, when the call is over, it generates a dump file from which Vidyo can get the current call state for further debugging, and the application is automatically restarted (which takes about 10 to 15 seconds).
GS-2472 With the Phoenix Super Sensitive mode feature added to version 3.3.19, Phoenix devices can now be enabled to not suppress background noise (such as ventilator sounds).

Important Upgrade Information for On-Premises Customers

If you have an on-premises installation, refer to the information below to ensure that your on-premises upgrade goes smoothly. If you are a VidyoCloud customer, you don’t need to take any action; Vidyo will upgrade your VidyoRoom for you.

  • Image upgrades from 3.2.x versions are not supported. In addition, in order to properly upgrade your image, your VidyoRoom system must be running a previous GA version (such as version 3.3.24 or 3.3.25). Consequently, if your system is running very old installer/image versions (such as an HD-40 Rev B with 3.2.5 (0139)/0.0.2.15), you must first upgrade to a GA version (such as version 3.3.24 or 3.3.25) and then upgrade to version 3.3.28 or 19.2.1. (Please Note: You only need to upgrade to version 19.2.1 if you use Dextera cards and with any of the following VidyoRoom systems: HD-230 Revision A, HD-230 Revision B, and HD-3 Pro).

The following table lists the known issues in all the VidyoRoom versions listed above.

If a VidyoRoom or VidyoPanorama 600 upgrade is interrupted by a system reboot or by cutting the power supply, the system may no longer boot properly, the device selection may be incorrect, and other issues may occur. If this happens, you may have to recover the system via the Recovery Console.

VidyoRoom - Known Issues
Key Summary
VidyoConnect Room - Modern UI
GS-7370

When the VidyoConnect Room application is set to Application mode, clicking the VidyoConnect Room icon does not minimize the application.

If this occurs, use the minimize icon on the application to minimize it.

GS-7367

When the VidyoConnect Room application is set to Application mode and the Preview is opened from Settings > Devices > Preview, the Preview displays but there is no option to return to the VidyoConnect Room application.

If this occurs, use the hotkey Alt+Ctrl+V to return to the VidyoConnect Room application.

GS-7349

When the VidyoConnect Room is in a call and is set to Application mode, if any other applications are opened on top of the VidyoConnect Room application, clicking the VidyoConnect Room icon from the taskbar does not bring VidyoConnect Room back to the top.

If this occurs, minimize the other applications to return the focus to the VidyoConnect Room application.

GS-7330

When the VidyoConnect Room application is set to Application mode and the system is restarted, navigation using the keyboard doesn’t work on the VidyoConnect Room application.

If this occurs, close and restart the application or use the mouse to navigate on the application.

GS-7253

The Mute icon and the Logitech Rally Plus device status are not in sync between the VidyoConnect Room application and the Logitech Rally Plus. If the user mutes from the VidyoConnect Room, the device status does not indicate that the mute status. If the user mutes from the device, the Mute icon is not displayed on the UI.

GS-7078

When room systems with multiple displays are paired, if the number of video tiles on the Secondary systems is configured too low, it is possible that no video tiles display on the Secondary system displays.

To avoid this issue, keep the remote video tile configuration on all displays connected to Primary and Secondary systems as max (high).

GS-7068

When room systems are paired, Secondary systems can be disconnected from calls if the Moderator disconnects them, whereas they should only disconnect from calls when the Primary system disconnects.

GS-7043

When room systems are paired, in direct calls between a Primary VidyoConnect Room and the VidyoConnect desktop app, Secondary room systems join the call; however, Secondary systems should not join in direct calls.

GS-6848

When VidyoConnect Room is used with a single touch-screen display and does not have a keyboard or IR remote control connected, the camera, content share, and Horus Scope preview screens do not have an option to close the preview and return to the user interface.

GS-6700

After upgrading from the version 20.1.1_1101 GA installer to the VidyoConnectRoom Installer, the system displays incorrectly as a Patient Room UI instead of the General Collaboration UI.

GS-6684

If the VidyoConnect Room Time Zone is changed manually via the Admin UI, the navigation to other menus may not work properly.

To prevent this issue, reboot the system if you change the Time Zone manually.

GS-6661 When using the IR remote control, the Settings and Manage keys work properly, but when using the Remote Control API, these keys do not consistently work correctly.
GS-6589

If a contact becomes free after being busy, that contact's status gets updated on the Contacts page (after 30 seconds), but if you click the contact to see their Details page, the focus doesn't move to the Call button on the Details page.

If this occurs, go back to the Contacts page and then open that contact again to see their Details page; the focus will be moved to the Call button.

GS-6442

When using the VidyoConnect Room Search page, and searching for all Members, there are incomplete results as the last page does not display and sometimes there are missing members.

GS-6257 In the VidyoConnect UI, a blank purple screen may briefly appear while joining a call, disconnecting from a call, or opening or leaving the Local Camera Control page.
GS-6089 Windows 10: After configuring the resolution of the VDO 360 camera to 540p30 in the Admin UI or OnScreen UI, the resolution in the top left corner displays incorrectly and not the same resolution and frame rate that was set in the Admin UI or OnScreen UI. The resolution should display as configured in the Admin UI or OnScreen UI.
GS-6064 Windows 10: After configuring the resolution for the Lumens G-30 and G-50 cameras (connected through the INOGENI DVIUSB) to 1080P30 in the Admin UI or OnScreen UI, the system incorrectly sets the resolution to 1080P15. The resolution should display as configured in the Admin UI or OnScreen UI.
VidyoRemote™ 3
GS-4424

In order for camera control to work when using a VDO360 camera, you must reboot your VidyoRoom system under the following circumstances:

  • Whenever the VidyoRoom system is returned to the default configuration, such as when the system is re-keyed or when the Recovery Console is used to restore both the default image and the settings.
  • When you change your camera selection from the VDO360 to another VISCA camera or from a VISCA camera to the VDO360.
GS-4342,
GS-4338

Due to limitations with the VDO360 camera itself:

  • The camera cannot capture at 60 fps, even if it has been configured that way from the OnScreen UI.
  • The camera cannot capture, encode, or send at 540p resolution, even if it has been configured that way from the OnScreen UI.
GS-4125

On a VidyoRoom system with a single display, when the user displays local content, joins a call, and then disconnects from the call, the local content occasionally does not re-display.

If this occurs, disconnect and reconnect the local content-sharing device or click the pre-call local share preview (Projection) button using the VidyoRemote 3.

GS-3956 If the ScheduledRoomPrefix is 0, users cannot join a scheduled room from a VidyoRoom system using VidyoRemote 3.
GS-3955 There aren’t any indicators in place to inform users about whether the DTMF tones that they sent have actually dialed out successfully.
GS-3954 Users cannot cancel Inter-Portal Communication (IPC) calls with the “Hang Up” button.
GS-3901 If a remote user on the call is sharing content and then stops, Projection Mode becomes disabled until content is shared again.
GS-2510 When using the VidyoRemote 3, users cannot join a scheduled room by entering the full extension in the Search field.
GS-2386 If a user is changed from the presenter to a viewer, the “Raise Hand” icon on that user’s VidyoRemote 3 disappears from the UI.
GS-2081 Once the VidyoRoom is controlled by the VidyoRemote 3 (that is, once the pair is established), the display name which is displayed on the top left corner of the On-Screen UI changes to user name.
GS-1843 When using the VidyoRemote 3, if a user removes their self-view, local projection gets disabled as well.
GS-1842 The VidyoRemote 3 does not have the DTMF function.
GS-1738

On a single display VidyoRoom using the VidyoRemote 3, the self-view preview and local projection get out of sync after disconnecting from the call.

If this occurs, click the self-view preview and local projection icons two times to get them back in sync.
GS-1442 If a user is performing PTZ operations with the VidyoRemote 3 application and network connection problems occur between the VidyoRemote 3 and the VidyoRoom, the two may become out of sync. This results in the VidyoRemote 3 showing its home screen while the VidyoRoom screen shows the PTZ controls for the participant whose camera was being controlled when the network disconnection occurred.
GS-1409 It is not possible to PTZ cameras of guest participants from the VidyoRemote 3.
GS-1384 If the “Enable HTML Remote/VidyoRemote Interface” checkbox is not selected when the user attempts to access the VidyoRoom system from the VidyoRemote 3, the error message “Unable to communicate with the VidyoRoom. Please make sure all devices are connected to the network properly" appears. Because this message does not clearly state that the user should select the “Enable HTML Remote/VidyoRemote Interface” checkbox from the Admin UI, users might mistakenly think that the problem is related to their devices or network connection.
GS-1298 If a user with VidyoRemote 3 joins a call and is displaying local content, and then another participant in the call starts to share content and then stops, the VidyoRemote 3 user’s local content does not reappear automatically.
GS-1256 The Backlight On/Off option for the VidyoRemote 3 is not synced with the Admin UI Backlight On/Off option.
GS-960 If a user with VidyoRemote 3 clicks the Raise Hand button and their Raise Hand request is dismissed by the presenter, the button remains unchanged; therefore, the user doesn’t know that the request got dismissed, and additionally, that user must cancel the first request if they want to send a new Raise Hand request.
All VidyoRoom Models Unless Otherwise Specified
GS-7318

On reboot, sometimes the ATR2x-USB stethoscope device name is read as "2-USB Device" by the operating system; therefore, the VidyoRoom application does not detect it as a stethoscope.

If this occurs, unplug the stethoscope and then plug it back in so that the VidyoRoom application can correctly detect it as a stethoscope.

GS-6558

Sometimes when upgrading VidyoRoom HD-2 systems to version 20.1.1, the Inogeni 4K will get reconfigured with new firmware and then there is a need to re-image the workstation(s).

If this occurs:
1) Before upgrading, deselect the Disable the Enable Inogeni Upgrade checkbox which is selected by default from Settings>Preferences.  This will stop the firmware from updating.

2) Upgrade your Inogeni firmware to the correct version.  Once the Inogeni unit is upgraded, it will not download the firmware again when connected to a VidyoRoom system.

GS-6449

Sometimes when using a VidyoRoom HD-3 system with the Logitech MeetUp camera and Logitech Group camera, the pan, tilt, and zoom (PTZ) movements are not as smooth as compared to using these PTZ cameras with VidyoRoom HD-2 systems.

GS-5913

The Revolabs FLX UC 500 and UC 1000 audio devices were not tested or qualified against Windows IOT-based room systems, such as the HD-3C, HD-3, and HD-2.

GS-5675

When pressing Volume Buttons on Yamaha Audio Devices like YVC-300 and YVC-1000, the volume is NOT increased/decreased smoothly on Windows 10.

If this occurs, use the Vidyo Plastic Remote or OnScreenUI/VidyoRemoteUI to change Volume levels on connected Yamaha YVC-300/1000 devices.

GS-4982

Using the keyboard hot key Ctrl+Shift+H in an idle state may sometimes lead to a black screen when using a single screen system.

GS-4926

When the stethoscope device is disconnected its status does not update properly in the Admin UI; instead when the stethoscope is disabled, it still shows incorrectly as enabled.

GS-4861

The SuperSensitive device selection does not update properly in the Admin UI. The device selection should enable Advanced Phoenix Settings.

GS-4738

When Super Sensitive Mode is turned ON when using Speex, a crackling audio sound is heard from the MT107.

GS-4704

The incorrect upgrade name tag is displayed in the VidyoRoom system when upgrading from the previous GA version (19.1.0).

GS-4659

The Call Moderation option on the VidyoRoom OnScreen UI may not be visible for up to one minute after the user goes to the Manage screen page.
In addition, the Moderator tab is sometimes not visible if the VidyoRemote app was disconnected from the VidyoRoom system and reconnected when a call was already in progress. Leaving and rejoining the call should resolve this rare issue.

GS-4577

When the Logitech Rally camera is used with a VidyoRoom system, the camera cannot capture at 1080p60. Therefore, if you set the encode mode to 1080p60, the camera will capture at 1080p30. If you want to capture 60fps, you must set the encode mode to 720p60.

GS-4473

When using a Logitech MeetUp camera with a VidyoRoom system, do not use the Logitech remote control to control the VidyoRoom system. Although some functions may work, others may not; therefore, Vidyo recommends using the VidyoRemote instead.

GS-4467

If a VDO360 camera is connected to a non-powered USB port, the VidyoRoom system may not detect it after a reboot.

To avoid this issue, you must connect your VDO360 camera only to a USB port that is powered (i.e., a yellow-colored USB port).

GS-4257

In rare cases, after rebooting a VidyoRoom system, if the Exchange Server takes a long time to connect to the VidyoRoom system, the misleading message “Unable to connect to Microsoft Exchange Server. Please update user credentials” appears even when the user’s credentials are correct. Once the connection is established, the error message is removed and the calendar displays.

GS-4252

When a USB 2.0 camera, such as the Logitech® PTZ Pro 2, is connected to a VidyoRoom system via an extender, the video capturer does not reliably capture video frames which may result in a black screen.

GS-4236

Although pressing the Mute button on a Yamaha YVC 300 mutes the audio, the OnScreen UI does not display the audio as muted.

GS-4215

After upgrading to a new VidyoRoom image, the user has to reenter their Gmail authorization code in order to see their meetings again.

GS-4185

After a Phoenix device is upgraded, the Windows message “You must restart your computer to apply these changes” may appear.

  • If the message appears as part of an installer upgrade, the user needs to take no action since the VidyoRoom system will reboot as part of the upgrade.
  • If the message appears when a Phoenix device is upgraded as part of a system reboot, Vidyo recommends an extra system reboot.
GS-4182

A Phoenix updater application exception error occasionally occurs when an audio device (Phoenix Smart Spider or Quattro) that is behind a Power Hub is not detected. Because the updater can't verify the detection, it doesn't try to communicate with the chained device. This issue originates from either the Hub or the Smart Spider: due to a hardware issue in either device, the device may not upgrade, thereby causing the updater app to crash.

Recommendation: If this issue occurs, Phoenix recommends an RMA of the device.

GS-4178

If a user tries to disconnect from a call by pressing disconnect on a Revolabs FLX UC device, the call does not get disconnect.

To disconnect from a call, use the VidyoRemote or VidyoRoom remote control.

GS-4144

When disconnecting and connecting cables on a Phoenix Power Hub MT340 or a Phoenix Quattro MT304, Phoenix Audio Technologies cautions that you must never unplug or disconnect the Cat5 Ethernet cable when the 48V power supply is plugged in.

Unplugging or disconnecting the Cat 5 Ethernet cable when the 48V power supply is plugged in may result in hardware failure, and the Phoenix device may require an RMA.

GS-4117 When Write Protection is enabled, BSOD dump files cannot be saved or downloaded.
GS-4089 The splunkd.log is not forwarded to the server; therefore, the logs will be lost if the VidyoRoom system is rebooted before the admin downloads the log via the VidyoRoom Admin UI.
GS-4080 After the Splunk server is first configured, the event viewer logs are forwarded to the server first; therefore, it may take a few hours before the VidyoRoom logs are visible.
GS-4079 If you flip a selected local content device to a camera using Remote API; both of the cameras get deselected. In order to select the desired camera, you will need to send the same request again. The issue does not exist if you try to flip devices in the opposite way.
GS-4047 If a VISCA communication issue occurs with the camera, the VidyoRoom system will reboot once the conference is over in order to recover the camera. Note that when this issue occurs, the camera control may or may not work correctly, and there will be no indication of the cause of the reboot on the OnScreen UI.
GS-4037 Occasionally, when the Phoenix Quattro or Smart Spider is connected via the Power Hub, the VidyoRoom application reads the firmware version as “unknown”.
GS-4026 For users who use the Calendar Integration feature with Microsoft, in certain cases, the VidyoRoom system may not get notified about expired Microsoft passwords; therefore, the VidyoRoom system will be unable to update the user’s calendar and will also be unable to inform the user as to why this is occurring.
GS-3944 VidyoRoom does not validate the client installer type after it is downloaded from the VidyoPortal.
GS-3847 If a username that contains angular brackets is entered in the Search field, an error message displays.
GS-3832 When upgrading from version 3.3.19 to version 3.3.21 while Write Protection Mode is enabled, the system may skip over a log and write to the next log. When this occurs, the log that is skipped over is displayed as 0.
GS-3827 If Presenter Mode is enabled in a conference where no participants then join or leave, the “Call in progress” indicator does not appear after a user is pinned and un-pinned. However, if a participant joins or leaves, the “Call in progress” indicator reappears.
GS-3808 When using the Remote Control API to shut down and power on the VidyoRoom, some of the log files may be created out of order.
GS-3797 After upgrading to a new installer when Write Protection Mode is enabled, all VidyoRoom.log files are not created. This issue will not occur for users upgrading from VidyoRoom version 3.3.19.676 to the latest installer.

Additionally, the Splunk® Forwarder will go into a bad state if enabled during the upgrade. Furthermore, if Write Protection Mode is only enabled during the upgrade and then disabled so that the user can make changes, when re-enabled, the remaining logs display in the Admin UI.
GS-3757 When the Mute button is pressed on a Konftel 55Wx device while the user is in a call, the audio does get muted, however the OnScreen UI does not correctly indicate that it is.
GS-3754

When the Splunk Forwarder is enabled, older log files are not deleted, which causes a delay in syncing new log files with the server.

To prevent this issue, delete older log files prior to enabling the Splunk Forwarder.

GS-3752 The VidyoRoom system is unable to prioritize the order in which Splunk forwarder sourcetypes should be sent.
GS-3580 If the NTP Server checkbox is selected and the Apply button is clicked, it may occasionally take up to 15 seconds for the NTP service to be enabled, during which time the message “loading…” displays.
GS-3546 For proper calendar integration, the user should ensure that both the time zone and time on the system are correct; changing the time or time zone after calendar integration could cause the user to miss some meetings invitations.
GS-3501 If the network connection was lost while an image was being uploaded, the VidyoRoom system must be rebooted in order to upload the new image again; otherwise, the Admin UI will indicate that there is not enough space to upload the new image.
GS-3478 When two VidyoRoom systems log in to the VidyoPortal with the same credentials, the resulting behavior is not consistent (for example, one VidyoRoom may remain online while the other keeps trying to log in).
GS-3361 When a Sony EVI-H100V camera is set to D70 mode, the On-Screen UI and Admin UI About page display the camera model as D70.
GS-3360 When a camera has a long model name, such as the Sony EVI-HD7V and Sony SRG-120DH, the name wraps around to a second line on the Admin UI About page.
GS-3354 The format of the Minrray camera version that displays on the On-Screen UI and on the Admin UI About page is not the same format used by Minrray (for example, if the Minrray version is 2.2.3, the VidyoRoom could display 22.30).
GS-3342

When a content sharing device is connected and the user is on the Home screen of the On-Screen UI, if the user presses the Self-view key, the self-view tile will not toggle off.

If this occurs, press the Manage key from the Home screen or disconnect the content sharing device and then reconnect it.
GS-3336

If a user swaps displays by pressing the A button on the remote control and one of the displays is disconnected, the user may not be able to see the remote participants.

If this occurs, reboot the system to see the remote participants’ tiles. To prevent this issue, before removing a display, use the A button on the remote to swap the displays, and then either physically swap the display connections or use the Admin UI to swap the settings for each display.
GS-3330 Occasionally, when the Start Recording request is sent when the VidyoRoom system is not in a call, it causes the VidyoRoom system to crash.
GS-3282,
GS-3281

If a VidyoRoom upgrade is interrupted by a system reboot or by cutting the power supply, the system may no longer boot properly, the device selection may be incorrect, and other issues may occur.

To prevent this issue, do not power off the system during an upgrade. However, if this inadvertently occurs, you may have to recover the system via the Recovery Console.
GS-3260 Log files cannot be downloaded successfully if the total size is bigger than 2GB.
GS-3256 Under high temperature conditions, VidyoRoom response time slows down and the systems take longer to get fully operational after being rebooted.
GS-3245

VidyoRoom does not limit the caption length; instead, as the caption gets longer, the point size of the font decreases.

To prevent this issue, the moderator client should limit the length of the caption to 80 characters for languages that use the English alphabet and 34 characters for Chinese and other Asian languages.
GS-3230 When in a call using a VidyoRoom with two displays, if the user changes which display is the Primary display via the Admin UI Display Layout page, the participant number and its corresponding green icon will appear on separate displays.
GS-3210 When using a VidyoRoom system with two displays, if the settings of the displays are different (for instance, one of them is for displaying content only or the number of tiles to be displayed are different), if the displays are swapped by pressing the A button on the remote control after joining a conference, the participants may no longer display correctly.
GS-3145 The “Call in progress” indication does not display if a user shares content after toggling their local projection.

When setting a Sony SRG-300H camera or a Sony SRG-120DH camera to VISCA, the camera resolution cannot be changed from the VidyoRoom’s configuration and remains set to 1080p60.

If this occurs, set the camera manually to the mode you want to use.
GS-2919

If a UniBrain USB 3.0 Active Optical Cable is unplugged from either the VidyoRoom system or from the host device linking the cable and USB 3.0 camera cable, after the UniBrain cable is plugged back in, the camera is not detected.

In order for the camera you get detected, power cycle the UniBrain device.

GS-2852 In very rare cases, an ungraceful shutdown of a VidyoRoom connected to a power hub with a Phoenix Spider MT503 could cause the power hub to stop working.
GS-2815 If a VidyoRoom unit is connected to a power hub with a Phoenix Spider MT503, all HID-related functions (such as mute, volume, connect, etc.) do not work.
GS-2719 Some USB devices, such as the Phoenix Spider and the Logitech® GROUP, are not detected when connected with APC USB extenders.
GS-2709 The Mic buttons on the Phoenix Spider are not integrated with the VidyoRoom; therefore, pressing those buttons on the Spider has no effect on the VidyoRoom microphone volume.
GS-2705 The Admin UI does not notify the user that the “Enable/Disable Remote Control Interface” checkbox requires a reboot.
GS-2606 VidyoRoom cannot download the client from the VidyoPortal when web proxy and VidyoProxy are enabled, and the “File download request failed with result code 408” appears in the log.
GS-2548 If a Logitech GROUP or CC3000e is connected to a VidyoRoom after a call has been joined, and then the user presses the Mute button, the call gets disconnected.
GS-2403 If a user toggles their own local projection before any remote participant starts to share content, and then a remote participant shares content and the user toggles that content, the content reduces to a participant tile.
GS-2270 The Static IP configuration cannot be saved if the network cable is not connected.

GS-2194

If a user makes configuration changes and also switches from normal mode to side-by-side mode, clicks Apply to apply the changes, and then clicks Cancel on the Reboot Required pop-up, some of the changes are canceled but some of them are applied.

If this occurs, reboot the system to apply all the changes.
GS-2157 When the Anti-Flicker Mode setting in the Video section of the Admin UI > Settings page is changed, the Save button must be pressed in order to save the change.
GS-2147

Changing resolution from 720p to 1080p via VISCA when using Sony cameras results in distorted video.

If this occurs, reboot the camera.
GS-1924

Occasionally, an INOGENI device does not recover during an installer upgrade.

If an INOGENI device fails to recover after an upgrade, power down the VidyoRoom system and wait at least 30 seconds before powering it back up. When the VidyoRoom powers back up, the INOGENI device will be upgraded.
GS-1923 If a new audio or video device is plugged into the VidyoRoom when the VidyoRoom is powered off, the device does not get automatically selected as a new device when the VidyoRoom is powered back on.
GS-1910 VidyoPanorama 600 and VidyoRoom appear as “VidyoPanoroom” in the CDR instead of “VidyoPanorama”.
GS-1882 If a USB device is selected as the sharing source and is then unplugged, the On-Screen UI does not show the device as disconnected, but continues to show the device as the selected sharing source. This occurs only when using a VidyoRoom with only one available sharing source.
GS-1855 When the PT Inquiry command to a Sony camera returns an error, the PT Reset command is not executed.
GS-1840 When a user in a Vidyo conference invites another user to join the conference, the inviting user receives no indication (visible, audible, or tactile) that the invitation was sent.
GS-1757 On some occasions, the recovery to the enhanced layer does not work immediately after some remote users leave the call. It may take up to ten minutes to recover the enhanced layer.
GS-1719

Occasionally on VidyoRoom systems with two different displays (one 720p and one 1080p), the On-Screen UI may use an incorrect resolution if one of the displays loses power and then re-gains it.

If this occurs, reboot the VidyoRoom system or press the A button on the radio frequency remote twice to swap the displays.
GS-1680 If the Use Status IPv6 checkbox is selected in the Admin UI, you cannot select or deselect the Enable IPv6 checkbox.
GS-1628 The Microsoft Office 365® calendar does not get configured when the Microsoft Exchange Server Web Service URL is set to “Auto Discover”.

GS-1259 When the VidyoRoom video transmit rate is set to 360p at 384 Kb/s, it impacts the receive bit rate of its clients in that the receive video remains at a low bit rate.
GS-1223

If a call is dropped or a user disconnects from a conference while the speakers are turned off, the next incoming calls appear as messages on the display but they do not ring.

If this occurs, answer one of the incoming calls and then disconnect while the speakers are on; subsequent incoming calls will then ring.
GS-1135 The VidyoRoom control interface is only available in the English language. If the On-Screen UI is set to another language, the control interface continues to display in English.

GS-1042 When the DNS resolution fails because the user has the wrong DNS name, the user is not able to log in, but is not notified with a reason.
GS-835 The process of updating an INOGENI device takes several minutes, during which the screensaver typically displays. The screensaver is not an indication that the upgrade has paused or finished; therefore, users should not disturb the system and should allow the upgrade to complete.
GS-455 Remote users see a black, green, and gray window if a camera is not connected on VidyoInput1, VidyoInput2, or INOGENI video sources.
Iron Bow vCLINiC
GS-4541 If you are using an Iron Bow vCLINIC, you must upload the image using a wired connection. If you try to perform an image upload via WiFi, the upload may take a very long time and/or it may be interrupted, which would require you to restart the upload.
GS-4497

If there is a data source connected to the vCLINIC when you attempt to upgrade the system, the upgrade will fail. Likewise, if there is a data source connected to the vCLINIC and you connect an INOGENI device that has an older version, the system will automatically attempt an upgrade and the upgrade will fail.

To prevent this issue, ensure that there is no data source connected when upgrading either the system or an INOGENI device.
VidyoRoom HD-2 Only
GS-2913 When using a Minrray UV950A camera with an HD-2 at 1080p60@4M or 6M resolution, the Captured/Encoded framerate drops when a content share device is selected (whether or not content is actually shared).
VidyoRoom HD-3 Only
GS-3878 If an Epiphan device is connected to a VidyoRoom HD-3 after Write Protection Mode is enabled, the device will not be read properly and the Device Manager will display “Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing.”
GS-2935 The ambiguous message “Installer file is invalid” appears when an unsupported installer version is uploaded.
GS-2845 In some cases, if a Revolabs line-in/line-out audio device is disconnected and then reconnected to a VidyoRoom HD-3, it may cause the HD-3 to crash.
GS-2844 In two-display setups of the VidyoRoom HD-3 with both displays configured to decode in 4K resolution, no more than eight participants can be displayed per screen. Even if the user sets the Admin UI to display more, the system will limit the number of participants displayed on each screen to eight.
GS-2822

If a VidyoRoom HD-3 is shut down while an image upgrade is in progress, the HD-3 gets stuck in a BSOD loop.

If this occurs, reboot into the Recovery Console and perform a Factory Restore.
GS-2681 In two-display setups of the VidyoRoom HD-3 with both displays configured to 1080p60, if one display is unplugged, the remaining displays convert to 4K.
GS-2663

In four-display setups of the VidyoRoom HD-3, clicking the “Unlock EDIDs” button causes the displays to randomly disappear from the Admin UI display layout and causes their resolutions to change in the Admin UI.

To prevent this issue, click the “Lock EDIDs” button after configuring the display layout—especially when using 4K monitors. If you need to unplug a display, you must click “Unlock EDIDs”, change the display setup, reboot, configure the displays, and then click “Lock EDIDs”. For more information, refer to the VidyoRoom and VidyoPanorama 600 Administrator Guide.
GS-2583

In two-display setups of the VidyoRoom HD-3 with both displays configured to 4k, the displays boot up with black screens after the VidyoRoom is keyed.

GS-2941

If a Sony SRG camera is connected to a VidyoRoom HD-40 Revision C with a UniBrain extender when a power outage occurs, the Sony camera freezes.

In order for the camera to get detected, while still in the call, deselect and then re-select the camera from the Admin UI.
GS-2269 If a user has multiple audio devices plugged in and the selected audio device is unplugged after a system shutdown, then television speakers are automatically selected for the audio output.
GS-1922 If a VidyoRoom HD-40 Revision A system is ungracefully shutdown (such as during a power outage), in rare instances, the INOGENI device will not get detected by the VidyoRoom until the next time the VidyoRoom is rebooted.
GS-1795 A VidyoRoom HD-40 Revision A with a Sony EVI-H100V and an INOGENI device occasionally crashes if the television display is turned off while the VidyoRoom system is operational upon joining and leaving calls, and when camera control is in progress.
GS-1790 The Google calendar account is not a supported feature with VidyoRoom HD-40 Revision A. An invalid username/password error message displays when the correct credentials have been entered.
GS-1737 If a VidyoRoom HD-40 Revision A is connected to non-Vidyo branded INOGENI devices, the non-branded INOGENI firmware does not get updated when upgrading from VidyoRoom version 3.2.4 to version 3.3.5.
VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A Only
GSI-138 VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A systems go into sleep mode while the system is being configured after an image upgrade.
GS-3887

After disconnecting from a call, the VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A system may freeze, which causes a black screen with a green lock to display. The VidyoRoom system may later recover on its own.

GS-3849

When testing the VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A systems for long periods of time, the VidyoRoom system may get into a bad state and cause the GPU driver to crash.

GS-3717

There’s an occurrence where the VidyoRoom HD-100 Rev 4A system became unresponsive during an overnight call test.

GS-3554

In roughly one of 600 attempts, VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A systems experienced a BSOD error upon rebooting and/or after an ungraceful shutdown.

If this occurs, press and hold the Power button to shut off the system, and then press the Power button again to power it back on.

GS-3401

eLert devices do not work when connected to the front USB ports on VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A systems.

To prevent this issue, use the rear USB ports to connect eLert devices.
GS-3275

Under high temperature conditions, if a tvONE video scaler is connected to a VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A system, the tvONE scaler may reset to factory defaults which would result in the remote site seeing green or black video.

If this occurs, manually reset the correct resolution on the tvONE scaler.
GS-2924 If a VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A is re-imaged with a Gen 3 VidyoRoom image, the microphone and speaker volume settings are not maintained.
GS-2238

If there is an active 32-bit VidyoRoom installer on the VidyoPortal that is older than version 3.3.8.0505 and that installer is applied to any VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A system running VidyoRoom version 3.3.x, the VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A systems become inoperable.

To prevent this issue, ensure that there are no active 32-bit VidyoRoom installer versions older than 3.3.8.0505 on the VidyoPortal prior to upgrading to VidyoRoom version 3.3.8. If you inadvertently downgrade to an older version on a VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A system, you will need to re-image it from the Recovery Console.
GS-2202

The Restore to Factory Image fails when users click the Restore Factory Image button on the Admin UI when all image files are deleted.

If this occurs, reboot locally and upload the image that needs to be applied in the Admin UI or upload the image from the USB drive via the recovery console.
GS-1972 The camera on VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A systems cannot be powered off. If the camera is manually powered off, the VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A resets the camera and powers it on again.
GS-1712 When a Sony D70 camera is connected to an HD-100 Revision 4A, the camera may not come back to its configured position after the VidyoRoom system is rebooted.
GS-1662 If a VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A is re-imaged with a Gen 3 VidyoRoom image, the process takes longer than a standard reboot due to the drivers and older hardware in the HD-100 Revision 4A. In addition, during the reboot, a blank white screen may display for a minute or two.
GS-1574 If a VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A is re-imaged with a Gen 3 VidyoRoom image, the microphone and speaker volume settings are not maintained.
GS-1522

Occasionally, a video capture device is not detected by the On-Screen UI when a VidyoRoom HD-100 Revision 4A is upgraded from a Flex Room image to a Panoroom image.

If this occurs, reboot the VidyoRoom system in order for the On-Screen UI to detect the device again. You can then manually select the device.
GS-1422

Occasionally, in very long calls (such as a call that lasts overnight), participants in the conference see frozen video from an HD-100 Revision 4A.

If this occurs, disconnect and then re-join the conference.

GS-1324 Unlike other VidyoRoom models, it may take up to ten minutes to upgrade an HD-100 Revision 4A.
GS-1316 If two monitors are connected to an HD-100 Revision 4A and the main display is configured for four tiles, the HD-100 restarts if it joins a conference with more than four participants.
VidyoRoom HD-230 Only
GS-2297 If a user of a VidyoRoom HD-230 changes the resolution of a Sony SRG USB camera, that user then has to manually re-select the Sony as the camera device.
GS-2283 The HD-230A and HD-230 images can be uploaded to the VidyoRoom HD-230 system via the Recovery Console.
GS-2231 The Sony SRG USB 3.0 camera does not display 1080p when connected to a VidyoRoom HD-230 system. When configuring 1080p from the OnScreen UI, the self-view does not display and the screen is black.
GS-2228 If the VidyoRoom HD-230 system is unexpectedly shutdown (e.g., power outage), then the connected camera may not be detected by the room system until after rebooting.
VidyoRoom SE Only
GS-5455 Users who install the VidyoRemote3 app on an iPad/Android Tablet are unable to connect to a VidyoRoom SE from VidyoRemote3 app if "VidyoRoomSE" is selected.  Workaround: The VidyoRemote3 app will connect if users select "VidyoRoom" instead of VidyoRoomSE.
GS-5404 If the Windows screen saver is set on the HP Z2 Mini Z4 VidyoRoom SE System and a call comes in; the system will not wake up from screen saver mode. NOTE: This issue does not occur if the Vidyo screen saver was set with the Appliance Installer.
GS-2504 When a Sony® SRG-120 camera is being used with a VidyoRoom SE, the resolution on the camera cannot be changed to 1080p15.
GS-2499 Occasionally, when using a VidyoRoom SE, the Sony SRG-120 camera stops appearing in the list of cameras after the resolution is changed.
GS-2497

In rare cases, after an ungraceful shutdown, VidyoRoom SE fails to launch.

If this occurs, uninstall VidyoRoom SE and then re-install it.

GS-2354 In order for an INOGENI device to work with VidyoRoom SE, the latest chipset drivers, USB 3.0 drivers, and INOGENI drivers must be installed.
GS-2185

After switching from side-by-side mode back to regular mode and restarting the system, a Windows® 10 upgrade notification message appears on top of the self-view and local projection.

T his occurs because the cursor is disabled in regular mode; therefore, you must exit the VidyoRoom SE application to close the notification.
GS-2142

Occasionally, when a user launches an app, the app can be opened on the monitor which is already being used by VidyoRoom SE.

If this occurs, drag the app window to the other monitor to prevent it from blocking VidyoRoom SE.
GS-1962 The option to change the VidyoRoom SE IP address is available on the Admin UI even though the VidyoRoom SE always inherits the computer’s IP address. If a user attempts to change the IP address via the Admin UI, the VidyoRoom SE will not save the changes.
GS-1498 If VidyoRoom SE is running on a Windows computer where Windows UAC is not disabled, and the user starts an upgrade but takes an hour or longer to respond to the Windows UAC pop-up that asks “Do you want to allow the following program from an Unknown publisher to make changes…”, the VidyoRoom application stops running.
