Vidyo is Happy to Announce VidyoConnect™ for Mobile Version 18.1.0 

We hope you've been enjoying VidyoConnect, the enterprise meeting solution for team collaboration that offers a unified experience across desktop, WebRTC, and mobile devices. If you haven't tried it yet, we invite you to visit our VidyoConnect page to find out more about the VidyoConnect applications, the benefits of moving to our cloud services, and the plans we offer.

Whether you've been using VidyoConnect from its introduction or you're just switching over now, we're sure you'll love the new features we've added in this release: 

Localized User Interface

  • We’ve localized the VidyoConnect user interface into these six additional languages:

    • French
    • German
    • Italian
    • Japanese
    • Simplified Chinese
    • Spanish
  • If your mobile device is set to one of these six languages, VidyoConnect automatically chooses that language for your VidyoConnect UI; otherwise, it defaults to English. 
  • Whenever you want to change the language of your VidyoConnect UI to one of these six languages, you can do so from your mobile device.

Outbound Direct Dialing

  • Need to make a business-critical video call while you’re at an airport, in your car, or simply running between offices? You can do just that with the VidyoConnect for Mobile outbound direct dialing feature. This new feature allows you to place direct calls from your VidyoConnect for Mobile app to your contacts on VidyoConnect for Desktop.

Resolved Issues

  • In this release, we’ve continued to improve the reliability and usability of the VidyoConnect app by resolving a number of issues.

What's Next?

  • Go ahead and download the VidyoConnect for Mobile app from the Google Play™ Store or the Apple® App Store

  • If you've just switched from VidyoDesktop™ and VidyoMobile™ to VidyoConnect, your users will now be redirected to the new VidyoConnect for Mobile app when they join a call from a mobile device. They will first be prompted to download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Then, once the app is installed, they'll be routed to their call via the VidyoConnect for Mobile app.

  • If you're still using VidyoDesktop and VidyoMobile, we encourage you to upgrade to VidyoConnect to access all the latest features. Please contact us to initiate the upgrade, and click here to learn more about what to expect.
