Vidyo Is Pleased to Announce VidyoConnect™ for Desktop Version 18.2.4

In our continued effort to safeguard your security and improve the performance of our applications, we've resolved an important issue in the 18.2.4 release. Please read below for more information.   

What's New?

Resolved Issue 

  • Vidyo discovered an issue in certain scenarios where the VidyoConnect application would prevent the operating system from going into suspend/sleep mode. The 18.2.4 release has resolved this issue; therefore, when there are no active conferences, the VidyoConnect application will now correctly allow the operating system to go into suspend/sleep mode.
  • Sign up for announcements at the Vidyo Status Page by selecting Subscribe in the top right.  You can now visit this site anytime to view past and current product bulletins and cloud-related announcements.

  • If you're a VidyoConnect cloud customer, we will upgrade your portal for you over the next week. Please share this upgrade with your users and direct them to the Using VidyoConnect section of the Vidyo Help Center to learn more.

  • If you're currently using VidyoDesktop, we encourage you to upgrade to VidyoConnect to access all the latest features. However, if you have the VidyoDesktop application installed, this won't happen automatically. Please contact us to initiate the upgrade, and click here to learn more about what to expect.

  • If you're a VidyoConnect on-premises customer, go ahead and download the software from the Client-Side Packages section on the Vidyo Help Center.
