Vidyo is Happy to Announce VidyoPortal™ and VidyoRouter Version 18.3.1 

In version 18.3.1, we've added support for Opus Audio to benefit our healthcare customers along with the ability to enable integration with your Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) System (from the 18.2.1 release).  Additionally in this release, we've enhanced security and usability by resolving a number of issues. What's New?

Support for Opus Audio  

  • If you’re a healthcare provider, you’ll be happy to know that Opus audio now powers our healthcare workflows. The Opus codec is a high-quality, highly versatile codec that supports full-band audio with sampling rates up to 48 khz. In order to use the Opus audio feature, your VidyoConnect endpoint must support it. 

Enabling Integration With Your Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) System  

Enhanced Security 

  • At Vidyo, we continually review and implement practices and procedures to safeguard your security when using our application(s). In this release, we’ve specifically made some protection improvements.

Resolved Issues

  • This release resolves a number of issues to improve security, reliance, performance, and usability.

  • If you're a cloud customer, you don't need to take any action; Vidyo will upgrade your VidyoPortal and VidyoRouter to version 18.3.1 for you. 
  • If you have an on-premises VidyoPortal and VidyoRouter, go ahead and download the software from the VidyoPortal and VidyoRouter Packages section on the Vidyo Help Center.
