VidyoEngage Kiosk: About Version 18.1

VidyoEngage™ is fully equipped with an array of features, making it the perfect solution for improving customer engagement, fostering customer loyalty, increasing customer advocacy, cutting problem resolution time, and avoiding customer churn. With the use of full voice, webchat, email, social media, and most importantly, video, VidyoEngage creates a personal touch that keeps customers engaged.

VidyoEngage Kiosk is a native Windows®-based PC, laptop, and tablet application that can be configured to run on a full-screen kiosk. With VidyoEngage Kiosk, you can bridge the gap between online convenience and interpersonal connections by making it simple for your customers to connect with your organization over video, right from your in-branch kiosk.

What's New in This Release

Here's what's new in this release:

  • New Key-Value Pair for Linking Skills and Other Data
    • Version 18.1 of VidyoEngage Kiosk adds Key-Value Pair (KVP) support that enables you to send additional data to the Genesys backend along with the Skill selection made by the user
      • For example, a VidyoEngage Kiosk could be configured by an administrator to add “Location = New York” for all users. If a user then selects a Skill (such as Mortgage, Savings, Private Equity, or Loan Officer), Genesys will also send “Location = New York”. The Genesys backend will then try to find an agent that matches the selected Skill along with the Location.
    • You can set up the proper skills routing via the APIs.
  • Ability to Install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages
    • VidyoEngage Kiosk requires Visual C++ Redistributable Packages in order to use Visual Studio 2013 x86. Version 18.1 now provides you with the opportunity to install these during the installation of the Kiosk application.
