VidyoEngage Kiosk: Overview, Client Checklist, and Package

Overview

VidyoEngage™ Kiosk is a native Windows®-based PC, laptop, and tablet application. VidyoEngage Kiosk is configured to run on a full-screen Kiosk, which represents your organization’s brand. The minimum hardware recommendations for VidyoEngage Kiosk are outlined in the System Requirements table below:

System Requirements
Supported OS Windows: 10, 8.1, 7
Minimum system requirements System: Core 2 Duo 2GHz; 2 GB RAM; 40 MB free disk space
For HD: Graphics capabilities that support HD resolutions on one or more displays

 

Kiosk Client

This section provides a checklist of items that needs to be provided to Vidyo, so that the Kiosk client customization can be implemented. You should use this checklist to ensure that the details noted are sent back to Vidyo.

  • Colors: You must provide the custom hexadecimal colors for the following:
    • Button Color - Primary
    • Button Font Color
    • Text Font Color
  • Initial Splash Screen
    • Background Image: The default image is shown below. If you would like to change this default splash image, provide the appropriate image with the following details:
      • File Format: PNG/JPEG/GIF
      • Resolution: 1024px wide or larger
    • Logo: The Vidyo logo appears by default. You can provide your own logo with the following details:
      • File Format: PNG/JPEG/GIF
      • Resolution: 512px wide or larger
    • Message: The “face to face live video conferences for your customer engagement needs” message appears by default. You can provide your own custom message with the following details:
      • Maximum Text length: 100 characters

  • Precall Screen Background Image: The default image is shown below. If you would like to change this default precall screen background image, provide the appropriate image with the following details:
    • File Format: PNG/JPEG/GIF
    • File Name Convention: self_img.png
    • Resolution: 1024px wide or larger

  • Skillset Categories: Provide the list of skillset categories based on the interaction routing that will take place.
    Here is an example of how the screen will appear.

  • Terms of Service Text: Currently, generic ‘terms of service’ verbiage is included. Provide the specific terms of service for your organization.

  • Promotional Videos: Provide a minimum of three streaming videos with the following details. Your customers will be able to view these videos while waiting for an agent.
    • File Format: MP4 only – this allows us to use the default HTML5 player that is pre-installed on all modern browsers.
    • Video Description Text: This description is shown below the streaming video to help the customer select the ones that they want to view.
    • Recommended Length: 60sec
      Here is an example of how the screen will appear.

  • Survey Questions: Provide three survey questions to get feedback from your customers. These questions will be shown after the video interaction with the agent has ended.
    • Maximum Text Length: 100 characters per survey question


Package

    • MSI
      • The VidyoEngage Kiosk installation package is available as an MSI targeted for 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 10.
    • Installation Directory
      • The VidyoEngage Kiosk application is installed in the following folder: C:\Users\$USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Vidyo\VEX
    • Version
      • The VidyoEngage Kiosk version is part of the installer name, which is represented as “VidyoEngageExpress_1.0.47.msi” where 1.0.47 is the version number.
    • Release.txt
      • A text file named “Release.txt” is available in the installation folder.
      • The version history is provided in this file.
    • Log File
      • If there is any crash or error from the application, details will be stored in the log.txt within the installation folder.
    • Uninstall
      • The uninstall.exe application, which is available in the installation folder, is provided to remove the application from the system.
